What Readers Are Saying About This Book

5.0 out of 5 stars Breaking through the Pain
The book Le Mort de Moi by Lisbeth Lavigne was a story of strength coming out of fear. The loss of her innocence created a woman of strength. The beauty of this book was the journey and the poetry that helped her release what knotted up inside. This book is a story that proves that we can survive and conquer the horrible things that a person may go through. The poems in the second half of the book are lovely reads. You can feel the emotion in each poetry- the pain,..

5.0 out of 5 stars A raw, brave story of survival
I finished Le Mort de Moi (The Death of Me) feeling moved and quietly stunned. Lisbeth writes like she’s sitting across from you, honest and unfiltered, sharing the hardest parts of her life but always steering toward how she kept going. The book is split into two parts: the first, Ma Vie (My Life), reads like journal entries and personal reflections, and the second, Ma Poésie (My Poetry), offers short, sharp poems that show the feelings behind the story.

It’s the kind of story that reminds you you’re not alone, no matter what you’ve been through. Anyone who’s struggled with identity,...
